The AMB8310-EM transceiver module (radio-only) is a narrow band radio solution based on the highly integrated Texas Instruments CC1020 RF transceiver. The AMB8310-EM is an evaluation module / development tool and is designed for engineering prototyping only. The module allows the design engineer to control the radio at the physical level using any microprocessor.

The AMB8310-EM radio transceiver module provides reliable wireless communications for the transfer of data at rates of up to 57.6 kbps and operates within the frequency bands of 868 MHz to 870 MHz. Transmission is being effected in the robust FM/FSK modulation.

In combination with a high-performance low-noise amplifier (LNA) front-end, extremely high receiver sensitivities can be achieved. The typical range of transmission is coming up to 2 km at clear line of sight.
